Before I saw the news on Yahoo site as I was about to check my email, I was watching his concert in Bucharest for the 9458799th time! Then I grabbed his Discography and started listening to "Human Nature"..First I saw his photo and then I was thinking that it might be some news about his tour but when I saw "Michael Jackson is DEAD"; man not only I couldn't believe my eyes, I couldn't help but leaking that salty liquid called "tears".. I put CNN on and I was watchin the breaking news as hundreds of people were gathered in front of LA hospital!
The loss was big, very big! He was the first artist who I ever got the chance to listen to and watch! he was the first to inspire me to become the artist that I am today! No artist can deny that he was influenced by Michael Jackson; we all wanted to be like him! But no one can cuz there's only ONE and Only Michael Jackson; There will never be another him; and no matter what they do they will never be another you!
I remembered all the time when I used to collect his photos/pictures/posters..the time when I went to rent his concerts VHS videos and watch'em ove and over again! the times when I used to wait for his news and for his videos to be on TV so I can tape-record them! I had all of his tapes when I was just 8; I couldn't understand one world he said but I used to go to my father for him to translate the song titles for me!
That year when he came to Tunisia, I remember that I made all I used to talk about with my best friend is when I was gonna see him perform! and When my wish came true, he wanted to do a concert in my country for the first time in an Arab-African country on what day? on my birthday! it was like a present from Allah! Unfortunately I was too young to go to a concert! my parents didnt allow me to and I cried so much on that day!
Now I know that I will never get the chance to see him only in the after-life maybe, who knows! All I know is that He was as close as an eldest brother to me; as a matter of fact to all of us! which is something not easy to achieve especially with all the conspiracies against him from the haters who didn't want him to shine and influence people that much!
Anyone who loved music, loved Michael Jackson! and I believe that he was the first person to walk on the moon and not Neil Armstrong! yeh Michael Jackson is the first to walk on the moon! No Kiddin!
May his soul rest in Peace, we pray for your soul Mike!
You can't be more forlorn than a third-world born intellectual artist
Refusing to fawn to bosses or to let them enjoy getting their bums-kissed
Should I be proud of my identity or wish that it was unknown like Bourne
My soul is torn between reality and dreams, art and cream, patience and self-esteem
How am I supposed to rhyme to make a dime
While a dime is all what it takes to expose that rhyme
but I can't spend my youth age working my ass hard for a low-paid job like a slave
I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth, are my parents to blame?
They're looking at me like I was from the outer-space, are my own people to blame?
All I seem to get is empty words in space, are promises to blame?
These earth bumps got me tripping on my way, is my fate to blame?
I'm tired of dwelling this cave for a long age
I wanna feel the sunshine on my face
I wanna embrace the stage..
That change..will it ever come? Better days will they ever come?
That ease through the hardship, will it ever come?
A change is gonna come..yes it will..
As long as there comes a dawn after the night, yes it will..
There will come a peace after the fight, yes I believe it will!
What is a North African Star? is it a North Star shining on Africa? or simply a star from North Africa?
Historically speaking, the North Star has been used for navigation, both to find the direction of north and to determine latitude.
It has been used by lost campers to find their way back home.In other words; the North Star is a guidance star to those who have no idea where they are; to those who are looking for a glimpse of light in the middle of a misleading obscurity.
Now regarding North Africa; as the expressions explains, it is the North region of the African continent. It is a very rich region indeed, not in terms of money-rich but in terms of history-rich. This region is like the center of the world as it's where the world comes together: Africa, Asia, Europe, America! Not to mention the numerous civilizations successively taking place in this region: from Carthage, to the Roman Empire, from the Phaores to the Arabs..
All these civilizations that North Africa has been going throughout the time helped creating multi-racial communities in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Lybia and Egypt.
Where do I come from? Well you see that tiniest country on the North African map? yep that's it Tunisia! That's where I come from and I gotta say that I'm proud of where I come from and if I could choose where I'd be born I wouldn't choose another place better than Tunisia!
Even though for an artist, it is a struggle to shine from Tunisia! Yep, unfortunately, to be an artist in Tunisia is like being a male soccer player in the US! From his artistic perspective, my uncle Raouf Karray who is a graphic artist and a School of Arts Teacher told me that artists in Tunisia are potentially to shine outside Tunisia than in Tunisia itself! Not cuz Tunisia do not appreciate art; but mainly cuz Tunisians would give more attention to the 1st World artists! It is just a matter of a 3rd World self-esteem if you know what I mean!
Struggling in my own country is an important factor that has been building my artistic personality!
Of course, growing up in an environment in which you would find record labels around and a lot of people who would listen to you despite of where you come from or who you are as long as you can attract their ears would be something I wished for since I started writing my first verses ever! It's not like I say that American artists for example are not talented enough but I believe that it came to'em easier than artists in a 3rd world country for example!
Growing up in a country in which there are no record labels at all can really be suffering and frustrating to an artist who would want to reach his people in his country! I love my country though! Even though I got booed off stage just for being an unknown rapper to appear on stage in my early career days, even though I found no way to publish my songs in here in a fair way to my artistic works, even though I suffered and still suffering from the unfairness of some steretyping judgements for local artists; I flipped this negative energy to a positive one into my music and I believe that's what makes me have this strong artistic personality; therefore I ain't never backing up of what I want I want to say or what I want to do in everything I say or I do, therefore I believe that once if I get to the top inshallah, nothing and I mean NOTHING could bring me down! The whole world should be prepared for what the skills I'd be displaying once we get the right spotlight on us! Africa's my motherland and I'm proud of where I come from and sooner or later Im gonna shine internationally inshallah!
It ain't just music, it's a movement!
Here's a show I performed at in my birth beloved city SFAX. My partner Mehdi WMD could not come to perform cuz his boss at work did not allow him to! I told you man it's a struggle ;)!

Does any one of your friends know who you truly are? I believe that no one in this world knows you more than Allah! that's right! bang 2Pac's track wherever you are: ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME!
I still remember the doomed day when I first heard about the ugly war against Gaza in the last days of the year 2008!
During the war, I couldnt get my eyes off of alJazeera, CNN, BBC News.. all news channels just to have an idea about the difference of the media coverage.. what's worse, is that I couldn't take all the images of the killing and blood when I went to sleep.. I called up my brother from another mother Mehdy to tell him that we should dedicate a song to our brothers and sisters suffering from a bully Zionist full of shit! He told me that a song wouldnt change anything but I said at least a song express our solidarity with our people there..I had so many ideas on my mind and 16 bars weren't enough to talk about all the agony that Gazans went through during that tough period. After recording the song, I got an offer from Miss Janne from Sabreen Production in the West Bank-Palestine to get it included in a compilation in which there are songs collected from hip hop artists who were trying to speak on behalf of our oppressed population.
I was honoured to be part of the compilation side by side with Shadia Mansour, DAM, The Narcicyst, G-Town, The Patriarch...
As we got invited for the tour which took place in different cities in Palestine, we tried to join our friends trying to make a difference by raising money to be donated; but unfortunately, we couldn't go cuz the Israeli goverments do not allow Arab muslim citizens with Arab muslim passports.. It would take forever before they would give you a pass from Jordan!
I felt like I was forbidden to go to my own country! they might not allow us of going to Palestine, but they'll NEVER SHUT US UP! NEVER!
Here is the lyrics, spread the word!
"We are forsaken this time..."
Da Sole:
First things first stand up when you hear this
Look in the mirror face the evil in your spirit
React with spirit,
is it bribery or cowardness allowing this
bulliness?
Gaza's become a prison of innocence,
humans terrorized, engulfed in flames
"Terrorism" to blame?? Excuses are lame!!
Like "weapons of mass destruction" of Saddam Hussein
Same case, different faces..
why they keep it silent when their assumptions are proved in other places
Conniption's my state of mind,
cuz I'm witnessing a non-conviction of corruption
They turned UN's decision into a Chappelle's joke
Cattle-like folks, money grubbing "Jews", passive Fox news watchers
when you close your eyes,
children's ghosts are eating at your consience!
Chorus:
Bro, we be the problem
We gon' be the key
bro we got to stop them
summon unity
but we are passive inactive just doing nothing
no problem, in the end we'll come up with something
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action?!!? WAKE UP
The foe is begging you
now, just let'em pay up!
WMD:
Who's gonna make it to winnin' this cowardice medal?
Standin, watchin salladdin legacy vanish,
hush answer my people's call as they perish.
You got dumb or is it voluntary silence?
DEAD PEOPLE ! you need an upheaval,
pluck retrieval, bugs became evil!
Is it da way the glorious ancesters proceeded?
I guess your best is havin a rest
watching da mess, acting like the west, no more no less.
May you wake up and follow suit because
all we get is a series of Blah Blah Blah.
What's wrong with the land of Lé Iléha Illallh?
Chorus:
Bro, we be the problem
We gon' be the key
bro we got to stop them
summon unity
but we are passive inactive just doing nothing
no problem, in the end we'll come up with something
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action?!!? WAKE UP
The foe is begging you now, just let'em pay up!
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action?!!? WAKE UP
The foe is begging you now, just let'em pay up!
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action?!!? WAKE UP
The foe is begging you now, just let'em pay up!
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action? WAKE UP
ain't it time for action?!!? WAKE UP
The foe is begging you now, just let'em pay up!

Hello World, How you doing?
I have just registered in here, so allow me to introduce myself! I'm Ihsen Cammoun, a hip hop artist, a songwriter, a producer, a composer and I have so much love for this beautiful art form: MUSIC!
Before becoming artist, I was and still am a very good listener of any kind of music that is attractive to the ear and at the same time expressive and meaningful! Among all kinda music types, I have been relating most to Hip Hop! would you mind spelling it with a capital H-.. that was quoted from my first official single (recorded in 2005) which reflects not only personality but also it is a shouting to the whole world letting everybody know that I am here, that I exist and I got something to say!
Why Hip Hop? Hip Hop is like your own connection cable to this world! I can say whatever, wherever, whenever and NOBODY can judge me! I can express FREELY whatever goes around in my head! When I write, my words fly as free as a bird!
Now what kinda hip hop artist I am? very good question you might be asking! As this beatufil music reflects personalities, it can be abused in a way that it can reflect the most superficial selfish most irritating ignorant brainless wanna-bes and intruders who gave Nas the whole idea of coming up with that song: "Hip Hop is Dead" !
Personally, I respect what Nas was trying to say, I think he was right in some point to come up with such a metaphor, but also I think there should've been some optimistic lines in his approach! There are always exceptions that makes you think wow Hip Hop is breathing!! and I believe me and my ally Mehdi ElMonastiry (that I am blessed to meet with and work with) are trying to be that exception! I'm doing my best to make sure that Hip Hop will stay alive! Therefore we have been working on our first official album since 2006 and after producing about 40 songs, we choosed to release a mixtape for FREE for all true Hip Hop listeners before the official album comes out! Hip Hop Will Survive Inshallah!
Enjoy my first single:
As I produce it let me introduce it!
Hook:
We Are Hip to the Hop music (4 times)
Verse1:
Would you mind spellin it with a capital H
I was polite, I didnt say it to you holdin a 12 gauge
Im a sage, homie, I know how to think
we both in rage but only you gotta see a shrink
I just let the ink hit the page
yes you know it, Im the poet
I write my verse then I flow it
this talent I owe it to Allah so gratitude I show it
unlike most, I dont rehearse
no use for unnecessary curse
cuz when I converse my words come worse than a glock burst
if you trespass the turf of my nerves,
my lyrcial saw will leave your soul scarred with kurves
I gave birth to a style that stands unique
like the planet earth in this universe, SEE!
soft niggas, I'm harder, sorta smarter,
I stand colder than arctic water, hotter than lava
Hook:
We Are Hip to the Hop music (8 times)
Verse2:
Between'em cats I come first,
like "A" in the alphabetical order
Im the microphone holder
who's younger than you and his mind is older
my +love+music makes them haters' girls cry on my shoulder
I understand why you can't get over
the fact they prefer me to hold over
what can I do man? I'm the crowd's favorite entertainer,
the sustainer of the spirit of the..
hopeless, Im the dopest,
I keep focused I stand tall like Everest with a tight fist,
can you handle this??
nah nana nah! it was a rhetorical question man, I think NOT!!
Alotta Mcs were thinking they great were kept in the dark
til the day they were exposed to my art
they brag the loot of their fans, they buy a car after car,
acting like looking back to the street
so they drive a car after car in the boulevard
while Africa starve! Hypocracy boils my blood
bentleys would feel families,
but they'd rather live like kings spendin fortunes on things and rings
YOU FREAK!! enough dancing to the beat,
try to analyzen
read between my lines,
scrutinize my rhymes!!
I aint tryna preach here,
I just let my mind speak dear
or you expecting me to express each thought explicitly,
bad for ya'll I can't explain
these lyrics I wrote,
critics they quote me,
rappers take notes when I emote emotions
mental impressions that I tote,
I explode through my throat otherwise I implode!
Hook:
We Are Hip to the Hop music (4 times)
Hey these Mcs are so lame
talking about Hip Hop like it's a war game,
they sound all the same what a shame
now what!! you got anything else left to say??
respect to all the real hip hop artists
from North Africa Tunisia! to New York!
Kweli, Mos Def, The Roots the Legendary Crew, Common Sense!
We out!
Hook:
We Are Hip to the Hop music (8 times)
